New Year Resolutions

1. Eat better
My problem is that I don't always eat food that I like. Part of that is laziness, since I usually like the food that I cook, just don't always have time to do. So I end up eating out and a lot of times, especially lunch I get while at work, it's just not tasty. Sure, I would like my diet to be healthier. And no, I'm not saying that everything have to be low-fat. I'm just saying that I would like to cut out as much of the processed stuff as possible. There are things that I'm already avoiding, but would like to maybe test out buying more organic, naturally raised meat and seafood. It's hard, I'm Chinese after all and raised to pay as little for things as possible. We'll see how this goes.

2. Attempt to fit exercise in schedule somehow
Now, my alarm clock is set for half an hour earlier than I need to wake up during the week. This came from when I still need to pump in the morning. I left it at that time so I could at least get some stretches in during the day. Can't say it happened yet. But I'm still aiming for it. Maybe Wii fitness will help when it comes out. =)

3. Get a physical
I haven't had a physical for at least a good 6-7 years. OB/GYN is a different story since I did just had a child last year. I'm sure there are more things to check now that I'm past 30 too. Of course, the thing I should put down as well is that I need to find a doctor. Ever since my work dropped Kaiser 2 years ago, I still have not decided on a regular doctor. I think it's time to get one.

4. Focus on better, but less stuff
Food fit in here. But I need to do that with the rest of the stuff I take home. Like I said before, it's really hard to pass up a good deal when you're raise to do the opposite. I'm learning and it's definitely a process. At least I tried to go through my closet at least twice a year and set clothes aside for donation/trash. I make use of the library to curb my books buying habit. I cut down my magazine subscriptions to less than 5. (Hey, it was like 10+ at one point!) Working on the clothes, but that's a different issue I'll address at a later time.

5. Learn to appreciate the little things/live in the moment
This one is from Miss T. Baby do grow up fast. She's learning everything so quickly and it's cool to see her clap or crawl the first time. She can't even pull herself up a month ago, and now she's getting her hands on everything. I take a crazy amount of pictures of her and now there are videos as well. But nothing beats the actual moment when it's happening.
